Stages of planting / sowing
1. Planting or sowing the tomato:
Some points to take in mind if you choose to direct sowing tomato seed:
Sowing will be good for another vegetables besides the tomato ,you could sow the following vegetables: corn, bean, pea, potato, sweet potato, onion, pepper, carrot, radish, Sunflowers
disadvantages – Non-uniformity, germination problems – the tomatoes won’t grow in their best positions,as they will show up here and there. You will have to grow only the plants that you’ll want to keep. You will have to take in mind that not all of seeds will show up and break out of the soil, the most of them probably won’t.(That what happened with my first try-no tomatoes at all).
Planting:
Planting you tomatoes will get you the best results,no doubt about it!This is the one of the first best advises that you can get from me.Planting will do the best option also for spices, cabbage, cauliflower, lettuce, cucumber, eggplant, kohlrabi, broccoli .
Preparing seedlings by sowing:
Production of tomato plants or tomato seedlings by sowing in cups filled with planting mixtures with an increase in garden bed planting .
- Stage 2 (planting the tomatoes) will begin after the production of the tomato roots system.
2. Planting the tomatoes seedlings/plants:
Wetting the ground where you plan to plant the tomatoes seedlings.
Creating a planting hole depending on the size of the volume of tomatoes plants roots .
Tightening the planting ground where you planted the tomatoes.
3. Choosing the vegetables by season
The best time for planting the tomatoes will be the transition seasons (spring).
It is best to prepare a trellising system with branches to lets the tomatoes grow up and away from the land.this will help get more tomatoes, and will keep them away of the ground=more healthy fruits.
Thats all for tomatoes planting or sowing.
